This & That.

THIS.

Yesterday was an exciting day for my brother, Austin, because he got his mission call! He's been anxiously waiting for it and so have we. It's crazy to think that my brother is going on a mission! I remember when Shawn opened his call! I'm so glad we're past that ;) I'm so excited for my brother to go though!

So my mom is crazy. Wednesday, 2 boys in our neighborhood got their calls except for Austin. So what did my mom do? She went to the post office and gave our mail lady her number so that she could text my mom when Austin's call arrived. Hahaha my mail lady is the best. I remember when Shawn was on his mission, she'd make sure letters or packages got to me even tho sometimes Shawn put down 729 instead of 792 for my address. She just knew I had a missionary :) So yesterday at 7:30 the mail lady texted my mom and told her that the call came! Then, we had to wait anxiously for the mail to get there. Our mail came at noon, but Austin didn't open it until 7. We had to wait for family & friends to get there.

7:00- we had atleast 50 people there waiting for him to open it. He was so nervous! My mom got a huge map and we all put sticky notes on the places we thought he was going. He opened his call and his eyes started scanning the paper and he said, "Holy crap." HELLO TELLS US ALREADY!

Dear Elder Elkins
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You are assigned to labor in the Belgium/Netherlands Mission.
Speaking Dutch, leaving July 24th!

The minute he said Belgium, I looked at Shawn and said, "Is that....?" and before I could finish my sentence Shawn said, "Holy cow babe, It is."

I grabbed my mom and told her.. "Mom! Shawn's uncle is his mission president!" My mom started crying and made a huge announcement. My brother was in shock!

Me and Shawn just looked at each other in total disbelief as if we knew what the other was saying. That moment, it was such a testimony builder that things are pre-ordained. Of all the places in the world, my brother will be in the mission with Shawns family. The mission presidents nephew that I dated all of highschool and waited for on his mission. That I'm engaged to be married to. I don't believe in coincidences. Things happen the way they are supposed to happen. (Just like my dad married the mission presidents daughter. my dad was supposed to go to Brazil and he met my mom). Anyway, its amazing that he gets to go be with Shawn's uncle. We are so happy and excited for him!

THAT.

Today, I did hair for my friends wedding. My favorite thing in the world is to do hair and make up for weddings. After I graduate from beauty school, I want to go forward with hair and make up for brides. I love being a part of their special day and making them feel like an absolute queen.

My wedding bag.
(can't wait to add more)

St George

As you can tell, I've finally got around to changing my blog! I'm actually really excited about it! I was driving home from St George reading one of my friends blogs (Ali) and the more I kept looking at her adorable blog, I kept wanting to change mine. So I did. (with the help of others because I don't know how to do it on my own). I'm pretty good when it comes to computers, but Blogger on the other hand is a totally different story. I don't know why!

Ahh okay, so I just got back from St George. It was such a blast! Shawn and I went down with my family for my little brother's baseball tournament. My family left Wednesday, but Shawn and I left Thursday morning because Wednesday he had a job interview. (Still crossing our fingers, he finds out in 2 weeks :/ ) So Thursday morning we got up and left. My brother woke up early to charge his car battery because it's been dying a lot lately. We picked up Shawn and then went to the gas station and while we were driving Austin said, "Emily, don't turn off the car when we get gas. My car will die". So we filled up with the car on, and then decided we wanted treats. So I pulled up to a parking spot and what did I do? I turned the car off. Yup, it was dead. So after we got our drinks and treats, we asked a guy (and when I say we, I mean Shawn) to jump us. It turned on right away. Solid, we're golden. I called my mom to tell her that we were on our way and told her the funny story about the car dying. The second I hung up the phone with her, the lights in the car turned off and Shawn says, "The car just died". Good thing I wasn't driving! We were on the free way! So Shawn pulled over and after many phone calls to my dad, figuring out what to do, Shawns dad came to the rescue. Long story short, we fixed the car an hour later and we were on our way!

Road trip!! I was so excited! I was never one of the lucky girls who went on vacations with her boyfriend in high school, so this was a big deal for me! The best thing ever while driving down to St. George was holding his hand. I love it :) Shawn's a fast driver, so four hours later we made it to St George, just in time for my brothers first game! 83 degrees and baseball games. We were kind of tired but that wasn't stopping us from having fun! My parents rented a Condo so after the game, we all went back to the Condo to unload the car and just chill before the second game! I kept getting these stupid butterflies thinking about four days with my man :) I think I was more excited than he was!

The weekend consisted of baseball games (he won 2 out of the 4) eating, swimming, tennis, basketball, soaking up some rays, swimming, video games, swimming, and oh yeah did I mention swimming? Shawn is adorable.

1. He would play with my brothers the whole time. In fact, I complained a couple times saying, "I feel like you want to be with my brothers more than me". But deep down, I loved it. I thought it was cute to see him playing with his soon to be brothers. Tyson (8) looks up to Shawn SO much, they even slept together the whole weekend. It was fun to watch them play basketball, or tennis against my parents, or get crazy on the video games.

2. He played tennis against my parents. I was laying out by the pool, and got bored and wanted to be by my man, so I went to watch him play tennis. Shawn and Austin vs Mom and Dad. HILARIOUS! I kept saying, "Come on babe!" but it didn't help. In fact, I think I made him nervous. He's so funny! And then we played lightening with my family and that was hilarious, no one can shoot a basket besides Shawn and my 12 year old sister! We all laughed the whole time.

3. One night, we were all hanging out by the pool in our sweats (swim suits underneath) but there were a million kids! I didn't want to swim because it was too cold that night, So Shawn and my brother Austin just hung out together. There were a million kids in the hot tub, and when I say a million, I mean you physically couldn't get in because kids were shoulder-to-shoulder. So Austin and Shawn thought it would be funny to crash the hot tub. They made room and got in and immediately Shawn and Austin started making friends with 5-10 year olds. Austin says, "Who's peed in here already??" And Austin and Shawn both raised their hands!! (of course they didnt, they were just trying to make the kids laugh). Man, I'm marrying someone who is gonna be such a cute dad.

4. He said thank you a million times to my parents and helped them so much. Without even asking, he'd just jump up and help my mom or dad. That's the missionary inside of Shawn. It was so cute to see.

5. Even thought he hung out with my siblings the majority of the time, whenever he got around me he'd make sure I knew how much he loved me. A hug, a kiss, a whisper "I love you" or "You look amazing". Those little things makes me love him more.

6. Listening to him cheer for Ty at his games. That was so cute, when Ty would come up to bat and Shawn would yell, "Come on TYSON!! You got this!"

Usually on trips, I have the hardest time being there because all I want to do is go home and be with Shawn, but this time, I didn't even want to leave. I wanted to just be with him every second, ignore reality, and just live life with him. This trip was filled with the most amazing memories, but do you want to know my favorite thing? The thing that tops everything?

Shawn and I (of course) had to sleep in different rooms. Right across from each other. We'd stay up all night and kiss each other goodnight, say "I love you" and go to our rooms. And then we'd text til we fell asleep and then the SECOND I woke up, I didnt care what time it was, I'd go in Shawns room while he was sleeping, and kiss his forehead or cheek and say, "Wake up, I love you!" and he'd have the BIGGEST Smile on his face and then he slowly woke up but it was so cute to see him so happy to have me there right when he woke up. I'm SO excited to no longer say goodbye, and only goodnight. That was the highlight of my trip and as silly as that sounds, it was the thing that I was most excited about-- waking up to him every morning.

And then of course after all that cutesy mushy stuff, Tyson (who was also in the same room as Shawn) would yell out EMILY GO TO YOUR ROOM! YOU'RE SO ANNOYING!! GET OUT!!!

and then Shawn and I would just laugh.

Best trip ever? You bet :)

FIRST VACATION

We're about to go on our first vacation together! I am so excited!! Even though its not far, its still four beautiful days with the love of my life! We are going to St George together! I cannot wait! It's going to be sunny, hot, and so much fun! I'm so excited to road-trip-it with him and blast music with the windows down! I can't wait to soak up the sun and swim in the pool!

We're gonna do lots of stuff down there, and take lots of pictures to share with everyone.

Being engaged is so fun :)

Ps. Shawn had a job interview today :) Crossing our fingers!

Stress

Sometimes you just can't let stress get the best of you, or your relationship.
Everyone told me, pre engagement, that being engaged is hard. Satan will get the best of you and work so hard on the relationship. He doesn't want an eternal marriage.

So before Shawn and I got engaged, we sat down and had a good talk about Satan. Not letting him get between us. But we both kind of just laughed and said, Nothing will happen.

Boy was I wrong.

Don't get me wrong, planning a wedding is SO fun! Every day when I put on my ring, I'm reminded of Shawns love and how I get to marry the perfect man. Making plans for our wedding, and pinteresting together is a blast! We've already planned so much, and trust me, you don't want to miss our wedding. We are having so much stuff, it's going to be a blast for all ages!

But the stress of -after the wedding- is what's getting to us. Shawn's been searching and searching for a job. You name it, he's applied! It just seems like no where wants to hire unless you have a special connection there!

First he started applying at all the nice places with good pay and benefits. (hospitals)
Then he started applying for banks.

Now he's applying for everything that brings in a penny. We don't care, we just need a good job for him. Especially because I'll be in school for the first two months of our marriage and won't be bringing hardly any money until I graduate and he's in school and then the tables will turn.

So that's our stress right now. Its caused arguments and tough times. LOTS OF PRAYER. But then I just remind myself that Shawn's perfect and I dont' need to be that added stress when it's scarrier for him than for me.

It's amazing that Satan will do anything in his power to make a strong couple, become weak. Shawn and I never argue but when we do its always about him finding a job.

So here I am saying sorry for always getting on your back. I know that you are trying and i know that you are a hard worker. That you are going to make an amazing Husband and an amazing father one day. I know that you are capable and have so much drive to be an incredible worker. I look up to you in so many ways and I know that as long as we are doing what we are supposed to, we will be blessed. I know it.

I love you babe.

I Remember;

I remember seeing that Facebook add;
Shawn Larkin

I remember the first day my eyes met his and that feeling I had in my heart.
Laughing like we knew each other forever.
Hoping that he would still talk to me after the first time hanging out.

I remember getting that text as I walked into my house;
"I can't wait to be with you again". and thinking how on earth a girl like me could be around a guy like him.

I remember asking him to the Christmas dance my Junior Year because my parents wouldn't let me take the guy I originally asked. Wrapping up Mt. Dew and going to a family party with Santa. Shawn sitting on Santa's lap and opening the Mt. Dew and it said "Will you Dew me the favor and go to the Christmas Dance with me?"

Who would of thought that was one of the best decisions of my entire life.

I remember the day activity, walking around Temple Square in Salt Lake City and standing by that garbage can. Super romantic as he pulled me in and kissed me for the first time. I remember those butterflies because I still get them everytime I kiss him. Everytime.

I remember praying about the decision if I should continue dating Shawn or not. I remember how powerful that feeling was that I should. I remember Shawn working for it every single day. Proving how much he cares about me and wanting it to be official.

I remember going to Arizona to see my cousins and missing him SO much. That's when I knew I wanted to be his girl.

I remember January 24, 2010. Shawn picked me up and told me to close my eyes. We were driving in his truck and I couldn't stop laughing. I remember the truck stopping and Shawn said open your eyes. And right in front of me was a fence. In that fence were red cups.

WILL U B MY GIRLFRIEND?

I remember every up and down moment we ever had. I remember how strong we were for just being in highschool.

I remember the day he told me he loved me.
I was 16. He was 17. But it was real. and it is still real.
He told me after work one day. We sat in my car and he looked me in the eyes and said,
"Emily. I love you. I'm in love with you."
And I knew I could say it back because I felt the same way about him.

I remember that he changed my life. He made me a better person, a better friend to others, a better sibling, a better example to my peers. He helped me make and reach goals. I remember going to his prom, his graduation, I remember him coming to my prom and my graduation.

I remember every family party. Every heart-to-heart conversation.
He would pick me up every other day for lunch while I was still in highschool. I remember he would surprise me at work and then get kicked out because it wasn't aloud. He taught me how to ride a dirt bike. I remember seeing him play with kids for the first time and knowing he was going to be an amazing father one day.

I remember
(tears start now)
the day he told me he submitted his mission papers. I remember every emotion of that day. I remember us crying in his car because he was scared to pray about me in the temple because he didn't want the answer to be a NO.

I remember going to the temple in Salt Lake City,  waiting for him to come out. As he walked out, he picked me up off the floor and swung me around. He told me about the prayer he said in the Celestial Room and that it was so powerful and strong that the answer to marry me and for me to wait for him was a Yes. I remember praying about it as well and having the most powerful answer.

I remember crying with him a couple days before he left. No words were spoken.
We ugly cried together. It was terrible. haha. But I remember it and that pain is still there when I think about it. I remember holding him in the back seat of his truck and we just cried and cried. We were so scared what the future was going to hold and to lose each other.
I remember saying goodbye to him for 2 years.
I remember driving around in my car on hard days and just crying. Driving to our spots and just praying for strength.
I remember every excitement about a letter or email from him.

I remember every tear, every heartbreak, every sleepless night, every hard moment i had while he was gone.

I remember saying " I can't wait to be engaged " or " It feels like forever until we're married ". or "You're never coming home"

And look where we are now.
I remember hugging him in the airport and saying, I will marry him- to my best friend.
I remember the first time he held my hand after 2 years in the car. and the first kiss after 2 years.

I remember wanting to be his fiance so bad.
And now I am. He proposed at temple square. by our temple. The Salt Lake Temple.
I get to marry my high school sweetheart.

Tonight, as I was cuddling with him on his couch, one of his mission buddies texted him. They haven't talked since Shawn got home from the mission and he said, "Dude how's Emily?" and Shawn replied, "She's awesome. I proposed 2 days ago". and it took my breath away for a second because that very moment the thought that came to my mind was, Wow. Shawn talked about me while he was on his MISSION. and now i'm his fiance.

And we cuddled all night. He's sick, so I've been taking care of him. He laid his head on my shoulder and I looked down at my ring and tears came to my eyes because I can't believe after all this time, I'm finally going to be his bride. People keep telling me "Oh Shawn is so lucky to have you". But really, I'm so lucky to have him. He's incredible and I can't wait to have him sealed to me forever. I loved taking care of my sick boy with a ring on my finger. We've always talked about being married but now it feels more official.

And as I was driving home, I thought Wow. This is happening. It still amazes me that I waited for him. And that was easily the best decision I ever made.
Because now I get to marry the man of my dreams. Today I went dress shopping and as I looked at myself in the mirror in THE dress, I cried. Because it was like every hard moment I ever had with waiting for him and waiting to marry him for 3 years, it was like it all left my body and I cried because I finally get to do what I've wanted so bad. I get to be HIS bride.

And I can't wait to be cuddling him after the wedding and saying,

"I remember planning a wedding, and now look where we are".

I can't wait for all the "I remember's" with him.

Feb 17, 2013

He Proposed down Memory Lane.

February 16, 2013

The best day of my life so far.

Shawn came and picked me up at 12:30 and we went to the Monster Truck show. I thought that was so cute because I haven't been in 3 years. (aka our first date)

Then after the Monster Truck show, Shawn had another surprise for me.
"Is this just a surprise all day date babe?"-Me.
"Yes, you will love it."-Shawn.

So we got in his truck and started driving. He parked and we started walking. Next thing I knew, we were at an ice skating rink in Salt Lake. (another place we had a date) 3 years ago we went there for a date and we pretended like we were figure skaters and he fell on his butt.

Well this year, I fell on my butt.

Then after Ice Skating, Shawn told me he had reservations for a place to eat. So we went to Trolley Square and walked around and then went to Rodizio's Grill. SO YUMMY. (our first date)

Throughout the date I kept thinking he would propose. I mean, it's a trip down memory lane. but as the day kept going and getting late, I thought for sure he wasn't going to. Maybe this is just a fun date because he just got payed. Maybe this is just a special date cuz he loves me. I dont know! But I thought for sure he wasn't going to propose.

Okay, back to the date.

So we are at dinner having a great time. We got talking about how much we love each other. Yes, we are a cheesy couple. and yes I love it.

"What are we doing after this babe?"- Me.
"Well save room for dessert!"-Shawn.
"Okay then what are we doing? Going home?"-Me
"Well we have somewhere to be at 8:30"-Shawn

BUTTERFLIES.

After dinner, we went to City Creek and got Cheese Cake at the Cheese Cake Factory. It was so crowded so we got it to go and ate it in the food court!

Then it was 8:00 and decided to go look around in some stores. So we went to Cotton On (and I guess when we were in there his sister was in there but i had no idea) and then we went into Forever 21.

Finally it was 8:20 and we started walking over to Temple Square. I didn't think anything of it because that's where we had our first kiss so I thought that was just our next stop down memory lane.

He told me he had to go to the bathroom really quick so we just went inside the Joseph Smith building. he went into the bathroom and so did I. When I came out, he was no where to be found. I guess he really had to go. hahaha.

He finally came out and we got walking. We stopped in front of the temple where the Bride and Groom stand on that pillar thing to take pictures and he said "I can't wait to marry you in that temple". As we were walking he kept saying funny stuff. Okay not funny stuff, just cute stuff. but it was like he was nervous and trying to keep conversation.

We were the only ones walking around the temple except a couple photographers taking night pictures of the temple.

We sat down at the mirror pond and looked around. He then said,

Babe, I love you but I have a question. He stood up, and then got down on one knee.

"Will you marry me?"

Tears flooded my eyes as I looked down at the most beautiful ring ever. I kissed him, kissed him a lot. and said YES! He put the ring on my finger. I felt like i was in a dream. There were a ton of flashes and a video guy in my face. I turned around and his mom was taking pictures. and my mom was there and handed me flowers from Shawn. and then his sister was there and handed me a build-a-bear dressed like a bride and when i press the foot it plays our song!

My mom and dad were there. and his mom and dad and sister. It was so special. Then I realized the photographers taking pictures of the temple, were actually there for US! The videographer was actually the videographer who is filming our wedding. Shawn and my mom called him to come video the proposal!

And so when Shawn was in the bathroom taking forever he was actually talking to the videographer and Barlow (the videographer) was hooking him up to a mike under his jacket.

I am so happy and so in love with this boy! I can't wait to spend forever with him.

June 22, 2013 is our wedding date :)

La la land.

Have I been MIA from my blog or what?!
Sorry everyone, I've just been in la la land for the past three weeks enjoying every single second with my RM. Seriously, I can't snap back into reality quite yet. We've had so much fun together! It's really like he never left. I could not be any happier, but then again, every day keeps getting better and better!

So I'm sorry I've been slacking so much lately on my blogging, I've just been kind of away from the world.

I still can't even decide what to change my blog to! Then again, I haven't had any time to even sit down and think about it. Because when I actually get time to think, its never about reality stuff. Only like "I hope I get to marry my best friend someday" kind of stuff :)
I hope I get lucky ;)

So once I return from La la land (which is probably never), I'll REALLY update this blog. Hopefully sometime this week!

Along with that, I need to start going to the gym every morning, go to school 10 hours a day (kill me, I'm going to miss Shawn waaay too much), eat healthy, make priorities, and work.

Reality sucks.
Can I just cuddle all day long with my boyfriend?

So here's some pretty fun stuff that's happened over the past couple weeks.

Homecoming Talk

Kissing.. alot

Three Year Anniversary
He brought me flowers to school.

Cuddling up next to each other everywhere we go

Spending every second with my best friend.

Alright world.  I'm going back to La la land. See ya :)

Jan 11, 2013

So in love.

Could life be any better? I honestly have never been so happy! Having Shawn home is the best thing in the world. Being with him again, I'm reminded exactly why I said I was going to wait. It was more than worth it and I'd do it over and over again! People keep asking me if it's been awkward or if he's "weird". And truth is, its completely normal. It's like we didn't even skip a beat! He's the same but BETTER.

I've never felt so loved and cherished. Every minute he says, "I love you" or "I can't wait to marry you" or "You're beautiful" or "Thanks for everything". He's the most amazing man in the entire world. I don't know how I got so lucky to have him! He really is wonderful and loves me so much!

The mission changed him. He's so humble, so loving, walks in my house and gives everyone a huge hug. He's SUCH a gentleman and so polite. I love hearing about his mission and how much he loved it.

Today, we skyped with one of his companions and that was SO fun to hear him speak Spanish back and forth! He's adorable.

Did I mention I love having him home? Seriously, I can't even believe I lived without him for 2 years.
It's funny, we'll be sitting there cuddling and randomly just look at each other and say "I can't believe we did it". I mean, who can say they had a full on long distance relationship for 2 years, but only got an email a week and if they were lucky a letter. We only got to hear each other's voices on Christmas and Mothers Day. and he came home and everything was perfect. It was like he never even left!

Gosh, I'm so happy!

I can't wait to see what the future brings us. But I know that with him, it will be perfect. He's my best friend, my love, my everything and I'm so blessed to have him!

I'm so thankful for a Heavenly Father that helped me so much during the past 2 years. Who stood by my side and helped our love grow. I learned to depend on him a lot to help me get through some pretty tough times and I'm so grateful for the relationship I have with him :)

So now its time to change my blog. No more of this waiting stuff. "Our Journey" or quotes about waiting. I'M DONE WAITING. Done :) He's home. I still can't believe it.

And I'm loving every second of it :)

He's Home!

I've never been so happy in my entire life.
Sorry this is way long haha but SO worth reading.

Let me back track just a little bit :)
As most of you know, Shawn's actual release date was supposed to be May 21, 2013.
Christmas Day, we skyped him and he told us that he has been in so much pain. He came home December of 2011 for a hernia surgery and then went back out, and I guess his hernia came back. My first reaction: Holy Cow.

He then told us that they need to figure out what's going on and whats going to happen. When we got done skyping, his moms first words were, "Looks like we have a missionary coming home early". My stomach was in knots. Is this seriously happening?? I kept asking myself. So for the next couple days, it was back and forth communication between his mom and the mission president figuring out what was going to happen.

Monday Dec, 31: He tells me in an email that the mission president wants him to stay til February 28, (2 more transfers) but he was in SO much pain and was trying to get home earlier. but he was also very sad and didn't want to leave but felt like he had no choice.

Wednesday, January 2: His mom texts me "Shawn will be most likely coming home Friday. Dont' tell anyone until we get his itinerary" My world just flipped upside down.

Thursday Jan, 3: The day we were supposed to hear the news. I waited all day to eventually find out that he was going to arrive tomorrow at 10:30 am. Most of you girls get months to prepare, I had 24 hours. Banner, posters, outfit, presents, so much to do and so little time. But I wasn't complaining :)

Shawny got an honorable release and returned home 4 1/2 months early.

Sooooo now to the exciting part :)

The Airport:

I woke up at 7am and had to be at his house at 8:30 to decorate. Still didn't even pick out my outfit but luckily i had my best friend there to help me out. We got to his house at 8:30 and my best friend kept saying "Has it hit you yet" And no it didnt at all! It was all a dream. Decorating his house, seeing the Welcome Home Elder Larkin sign, it was all surreal. Driving to the airport my stomach started getting in knots but I still didn't feel like I was seeing my boyfriend. Everyone talks about this "nervous feeling" I NEVER FELT IT. Pure excitement. I wasn't nervous at all. It just didn't feel like it was happening. Maybe because I had 24 hours to get ready, I'm sure that's it. Anyway, we got there at 9:30 and his mom called me saying "Shawn's flight is arriving at 9:56." A HALF HOUR EARLY. So we got into the airport, and I was there with my best friend, his family, and my family. Also the awesome photographer and person filming it. I then walked over to the arrival board and just sat there and watched his flight number. It then said landed. Finally it hit, and I was already bawling like a baby. GREAT. hahaha.

We all then stood together getting ready for this handsome boy to land. It took FOREVER for him to get down, but then.. it happened. I saw him. And every heartache, every lonely night, every awful date, every hard night went away. In that moment, it was like nothing mattered and it was only me and him in this world. I literally fell to the floor crying (as you could see in my pictures). I watched him hug his family and hold his mom for a long time and I said to my best friend, "I will marry him". He walked over to me and grabbed me. he pulled me in SO TIGHT and whispered "I love you so much Em". He wouldn't let me go. we just held each other and I pulled back a little to look at him and said 'YOURE REAL!!!" and he pulled me back in to hug me. I can't even explain the hug in the right words because incredible is an understatement.

He then went to hug my family and he couldn't take his eyes off me. and he mouthed the words "I love you". and while we were walking he put his arms around me and pulled me in for another hug. It was perfect. Then we got his bags and he said "You're coming with me in the car right?" And I said "No I have to take my friends home but then i'll be right over!" and he said "K you better Emmie". haha.

Awful 7 hours:

Shawny couldn't get released until 5pm!! So we just talked and he told us stories and gave us presents. and then we walked up to his office for him to show us pictures and videos on the computer and it was just me and him in the room for a second before his mom got in there and he said "holy crap is it 5 yet?" haha we both just laughed.

Finally released:

At 5pm I went home so he could go to the stake presidents to get released and they told me to be back at 6 to go to dinner. So I went home and to pass the time I got on facebook and just sat there waiting. When I got back to his house it was a complete different feeling and the minute our eyes met i could feel how much he loved me. We then got in his car and it was his mom and dad in the front, and then shawn, me in the middle, and his sister on my right side. Right when we got in the car, shawn grabbed my hand and held my hand. Amazing. Then he would play with my hands and rub them. and I'm not exaggerating when I say this every 2 minutes he'd say either "I love you" or "You're amazing" or "Thanks for waiting babe" or "You're so pretty". At dinner he kept touching my leg and holding my hand under the table. and on the way home he held my hand the whole time and kept saying those same things.

When we got back to his house he wanted to watch Avengers. hahaha so we cuddled and watched the movie. and he kept pulling me in closer and closer.

Then his dad went to bed and I was getting ready to leave, but before he left we had a little heart to heart talk. He said "Em, I want to thank you for wating for me. It was so hard, but you are the most amazing girl in the world and there's no one else i'd rather be with. I'm so in love with you and want to be with you forever. You are beautiful and I'm so lucky."

He kissed me before I left and it was amazing. We both teared up. Ok he teared up, I cried like a baby.

Today:

Waking up this morning and knowing Shawn was home was one of the best feelings in the world. He came over to my house before my brothers baptism and right when I heard his truck pull up and ring the door bell I RANNNNN to the door and jumped on him. We then went to the baptism and he just kept hugging all my extended family and telling everyone how much he loves them. While we were sitting there he had his arm around me, or holding my hand, but again every 5 minutes he'd whisper "I love you so much". Ahhhh. He's perfect. And then I watched him be in the circle giving my brother the holy ghost and I cired. i'm a baby i know. haha and we are seriously glued to each other. He will not let me go!

We went back to my house to have a family party and each lunch and I was like "Babe do you want me to throw away your plate?" and he was like "NO! stay and cuddle me." and i said "babe i'll be fast!!" and he said "K hurry fast. i miss you already" hahahaha. we're ridiculous. but he's perfect.

And then we were sitting there and he was holding me and playing with my hair, and then he said "Babe, lets go look at wedding rings soon k?" :) :) :) eeeeek.

I can't even tell you how much I love him. I've read all these stories, and they alll say keep waiting its worth it. but it never like stuck with me. I'M EATING MY WORDS RIGHT NOW. THE WAIT IS WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN. The LOVE you share is amazing..I did one of the hardest things and he will forever appreciate it. I never imagined love to be this strong and I tear up just thinking about how special it is. I am so madly in love with this boy. I've been stomped on, I've been hurt while waiting, boys are jerks, i've dated horrible guys, and i've had miserable days, but I would do it all over again because guess what?! NONE OF IT MATTERS. it's like it never happened.

and it was all sooo worth it.

Everything is perfect. He isn't weird at all. It's like he never left. He's the same but better. Such a gentleman and loves this gospel. The spirit is so strong around him and I can't wait to marry him some day.

So this is my story. Its been 2 days and they are the best 2 days of my life. and its only going to get better!!!!!
