Summer Days

We are just loving summer so far! Hadley loves being outside so we are always out doing things. She's a busy girl so the best way to pass time is to get out and let her play. Whether we are playing with friends, swimming at Cherry Hill, or running around my parents back yard; she's a happy girl. She's at the funnest age and we love playing together. Summer is the best. Full of Popsicle's, sandy toes, chlorine hair, and lots of laughter. 

Today was a lot of fun. I'm so glad Hadley is surrounded with kids her age. She sure loves to play and it makes my momma heart happy to see her have fun and play. 

 

DISNEYLAND

I am finally getting around to blogging about our recent California vacation, and boy was it fun! We went with my family as kind of the last hoorah before my brother leaves on his mission. It was great spending time as a family!

The first day was crazy. We all got up at 3am and our plane left at 6am. As soon as we landed, we went straight to the park. And if you're wondering if Hadley slept on the airplane, she did not. THANK GOODNESS the seat between my mom and dad was empty, so Hadley sat there and it was so nice. She's super independent and loves her space. Once we landed, we went to get our rental van, yes a huge van that fit all 9 of us, and then straight to the park! It was soooo fun taking Haddy for the first time. SHE WAS IN HEAVEN. (and also a zombie the first day). She didnt nap once. hahaha thats my kid for ya. Party girl! She could go on almost every ride and thats all I wanted to do. I didnt care to go on the other rides with out her. Except for Splash Mountain, thats so fun. Haddy loved Its a Small World (of course) and wasn't even scared to go on Pirates! But I think the high light of her whole day was the giant balloon we got her during the parade.

The next day we went to California Adventure (which is my favorite). Hadley was a lot more into it because she was fully awake and had so much energy. Plus all her favorite movies are there; Little Mermaid and Monsters Inc. She about died watching the parade there. She was dancing and waving. It was the cutest thing.

Then the next day we went to Universal Studios which was way fun! We've never been to the one in California before! Harry Potter World is incredible. And don't even get me started on Butter Beer. It's making my mouth water as we speak. sooooo good! It was so nice. The weather was perfect and wasn't crowded at all. My favorite part of the park was the Tour we went on! It showed you the coolest things like places movies are made (Jaws, King Kong, The Grinch, Desperate Housewives, ect) and a lot of other places. May sound boring, but trust me.. its a MUST. Wayyyy cooler than I was expecting it to be. It's also a ride, so they do some really cool things and show you special effects. Its amazing. Go do it.

Then the rest of the trip we spent it in a resort on Newport Beach. That was really nice. We all got caught up on our sleep and just relaxed by the pool a lot. We played cards every night and my dad taught us this game called Hearts. but don't even get me started. It should of been called "The game that makes you yell at everyone" hahahaha. We all were dying laughing so hard because it was the most frustrating game.

Funnest trip. I could go on and on and on about it but I have a feeling you'll get bored. So here are some pictures. xoxo

The Jungle Jim

The other day, we wanted to do something fun with Hadley that didn't involve the park or shopping like we always do with her. We wanted to go do something she's never done. So while Shawn was at the gym, I looked up some places that would be fun with Hadley and wouldn't break the bank. (especially since we are going to California in 2 weeks). I came across The Jungle Jim and I remembered going there as a kid for birthday parties! It was so fun and the website made it seem even better than I remembered! 

Oh boy, but when we got there it was just one mistake after another. hahaha. LUCKILY it was two dollars so we don't even care. But we definitely won't be back until Hadley is like 4 or 5! There were a couple rides that looked fun that I thought Haddy would have fun on! So first we took her on the carousal. So old and so fast. Not your typical carousal. Hadley was terrified. Then we took her on this other ride, which I had no idea- went a million miles per hour and made me sick. Fail. Then the other rides, we couldn't even fit on to go with Hadley on them because they were made for 6 year olds. hahaha. So then we just let her play in this toddler area, and it just made me cringe. Old and disgusting. We lasted about 40 minutes but hey, atleast we got out and had fun with Hadley! 

EASTER

Yesterday we celebrated Easter and it was so much fun. I was so excited to do a little Easter basket for Haddy and a little Easter Egg hunt. (even though I knew she wouldn't last long)

and then I also put inside Mickey Mouse shirt and Minnie Mouse ears (since we are going to Disneyland in May)
She is obsessed with Little Mermaid and thought the towel was a blanket. hahaha.

All she wanted was to eat her candy!
